One more person has pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing F-14 jet fighter parts from the Navy supply system and smuggling them overseas.

Julie Agustin, 48, of Tierrasanta, pleaded guilty late Thursday to two criminal counts of stealing and shipping stolen items valued at $1 million, Assistant U.S. Atty. Phillip L. B. Halpern said Friday. Agustin, who faces 20 years in prison and $500,000 in fines, will be sentenced Sept. 3 by U.S. District Judge L. C. Nielsen.

Halpern said that Agustin’s plea brings to seven the number of people who have admitted their roles in the smuggling ring, which prosecutors said operated between 1981 and 1985 and included sailors and Navy civilian workers with access to the military supply system. Ten people were charged in the enterprise, which was shut down by federal investigators last July.
