Maywood : City Employees Get Raises
The City Council Tuesday approved two-year contracts with two city unions representing general employees and police officers giving salary increases that range from 5% to 15%.
Police officers--whose salaries range from $2,357 to $2,846--will receive a 15% increase, retroactive to July 1, for the next two years, City Clerk Leonard Locher said. Four police dispatchers will get a raise of 11%.
Custodians, parking enforcement and street maintenance workers will receive a 5% raise, while clerical workers and record clerks will receive an 11.25% increase.
