Nancy Reagan to Have Social Whirl at Royal Nuptials
Nancy Reagan will have a full schedule when in London next week to attend the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, including a luncheon hosted by Queen Elizabeth and a tea given by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the White House announced today.
Her press secretary, Elaine Crispen, said the First Lady will fly to London on Sunday and will stay at Winfield House, the U.S. Embassy residence.
Monday evening, she will attend a private dinner with the bride’s father and stepmother, Maj. and Mrs. Ronald Ferguson, at the Windsor Great Park Polo Grounds.
Tuesday afternoon, the First Lady will attend a tea hosted by Thatcher at No. 10 Downing St.
Mrs. Reagan will attend the royal wedding at Westminster Abbey Wednesday morning, and then go to Buckingham Palace for the wedding luncheon.
