Nicaragua has completed building a major airport on the Atlantic coast near the Honduran border, the pro-government newspaper El Nuevo Diario said. The airport, at Puerto Cabezas, 250 miles northeast of Managua, has an 8,250-foot runway that can handle planes as large as a Boeing 727, the paper said. The new runway is slightly shorter than one at Punta Huete, near Managua, which U.S. experts say can handle any Soviet plane.
