Ericson M. Dunstan, a co-founder of Micropolis and an engineering executive with the Chatsworth-based company, has been given the new title of senior vice president of engineering. He previously was senior vice president of corporate engineering.

The title change stems from Dunstan’s being named to take over the duties of Michael W. Warner, who resigned earlier this month to become vice president of engineering with Maxtor in San Jose. Micropolis and Maxtor both make disk drives, which are devices used to store and retrieve data in personal computers.
