Lucky Stores, citing intense competition and disappointing sales at Gemco, said earnings for the second quarter ending Aug. 3 are expected to be below the comparable 1985 quarter . . . NCR Corp. said its senior debt rating has been raised by Standard & Poor’s to AA from A+ . . . Levi Strauss said it will shut down its pressing plant at Little Rock, Ark., and its men’s slacks assembly plant at Wynne, Ark., by the end of November, eliminating 453 jobs . . . Phoenix-based El Pollo Asado said it signed agreements with investors calling for the opening of 48 restaurants in California, 35 of them in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties, over the next eight years. The other restaurants to be opened will be in Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Sacramento counties . . . J. P. Stevens & Co. reported that its board of directors has adopted a shareholder rights plan.
