El Cajon and San Diego police officers have arrested five people in connection with a series of burglaries, a spokesman for El Cajon police said Wednesday.

Police confiscated more than $100,000 worth of stolen goods, including personal computers, compact disc players, lawn mowers, videotapes and handguns during the search of a house in the 3700 block of Broadway in San Diego.

The police search Monday also turned up 10 ounces of cocaine with an estimated street value of $35,000, said Lt. Randy Narramore of the El Cajon police. El Cajon police had been investigating the recent burglaries of more than 20 stores throughout the county, he said.
