Providence, R.I.-based Textron reported that second-quarter profit increased a record 57% largely due to the strength of its aerospace technology divisions. Second-quarter revenue was up 15%. B. F. Dolan, president and chief executive, attributed Textron’s second-quarter performance to continued strength in the company’s aerospace technology.
