A 60-ton mobile crane failed to make a turn at the bottom of a hill and smashed into an apartment building in Slatington, Pa., killing two people and injuring three others, including the driver and the crane operator. About 45 elderly people living in the subsidized apartments were evacuated after the crane hit a corner of the building. Ruth Zellner, 66, and Charles Moyer, 69, were found dead in the rubble, said Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Wayne Snyder.
