Costa Mesa : Orange Coast College Creates Alumni Group

Orange Coast College, California’s largest single-campus community college, has created the first alumni association in its 39-year history.

The new association’s board of directors was named July 23, with Terry McCardle as chairman. McCardle is president of The Real Estaters in Costa Mesa and is a former football player for Orange Coast College and Oregon State University.

Bob Hanson, a retired engineer who is active in several Orange County civic and charitable organizations, is vice chairman.

The new organization, among other duties, will assume sponsorship of the college’s Alumni Hall of Fame.

The association is open to everyone who has one completed one or more courses at Orange Coast College.
