Italian Fencer Wins Foil Title

VIENNA, Austria —
Andrea Borella of Italy defeated Tulio Diaz of Cuba, 10-5, Saturday to win the foil title in the World Fencing Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, the state-run BTA news agency reported.
Another Italian, Mauro Numa, won the bronze medal by defeating Szolt Ersek of Hungary, 12-11.
