Two lawsuits were filed against Floating Point.

The shareholder class-action suits against the Beverton, Ore., maker of computer systems accuse the company and several of its officers of violating securities laws. According to the complaints, the violations were related to events leading up to the company's July 22 announcement of earnings that were sharply lower than expected. Following the earnings report, the company's stock price plummeted, losing about a third of its value.
