Share

Datametrics, a Chatsworth-based maker of computer printers for the military, said Friday it purchased the assets of Magnetic Storage Corp., a 5-year-old Costa Mesa firm, and will move its operations to Chatsworth.

Terms were not disclosed. A Datametrics spokesman said employees of Magnetic Storage, which makes data storage systems for military computers, have been offered jobs in Chatsworth. Datametrics reported that consulting agreements were reached with C. D. Widener and Klaus Stricker, owners of Magnetic Storage.

Datametrics Chairman Garland White said the acquisition will enable his company to expand in military computer peripherals.
