Mesa Limited Partnership reported that its earnings fell by 22% in the second quarter of the year. Officials of the Amarillo, Tex.-based firm said the drop was mainly due to a 17% reduction in natural gas production and a 15% decrease in gas prices. Figures used for comparison are drawn from Mesa Petroleum Co.
