Glendora : College May Build Dorms

Share

The Board of Trustees of Citrus College has ordered a study of the feasibility of building dormitories on the Glendora campus.

It has hired Neptune and Thomas Associates of Pasadena to identify possible sites and draw preliminary plans.

William McCusker, computer center director who heads the study committee, said that the low-cost housing may be needed for foreign students and for local students who put in long hours at school.

He said that 11 community colleges in California have dormitories, most of them rural schools in Northern California.

The board is expected to decide if it will build the housing by the end of the year, McCusker said.
