‘Freight Train’ Storms Rumble in New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. —
Thunderstorms hit western New York “like a freight train” Friday, with heavy rains triggering a flash flood in one town and breaking a small earthen dam at another, authorities said. There were no reports of injuries.
