Thirty-one people were convicted by an Italian court on organized crime charges and sentenced to prison terms ranging from four to 28 years. Authorities said those convicted were members of the Graziano clan, part of a Mafia-type organization involved in extortion rackets and trade in contraband cigarettes and drugs in the Naples area. The stiffest sentence, 28 years, was given to Antonio Manzi, convicted of drug trafficking. Pasquale Raffaele Graziano was sentenced to 25 years in prison for complicity in the 1983 murder of a rival crime boss.
