Julius Erving will probably accept a $3.5-million offer from the Utah Jazz unless the Philadelphia 76ers come up with a last-minute offer large enough to change his mind, the Associated Press said it was told by a confidant of the NBA star.

Utah is prepared to send Erving an offer sheet of $3.5 million over two years. The 76ers reportedly have offered a one-year contract matching Erving’s nearly $1.5 million for last season, after originally offering $800,000.
