The bond market was opened in the northeastern city of Shenyang, the official New China News Agency said. Shenyang has issued stock and shares worth more than 200 million yuan--$54 million--since last year in a bid to speed up development by allowing companies to raise money outside the national banking system. The city is one of five in China chosen to experiment with banking and financial reforms.
