Banks failed in Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas to raise the national casualty list this year to 87, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said. The FDIC said the failed banks were Graettinger State Bank of Graettinger, Iowa; First Citizens Bank of Dallas; First National Bank & Trust Co. of El Reno, Okla., and Easton State Bank in Easton, Kan. The FDIC said that assets of the banks, which were all relatively small, were taken over by healthy institutions. A record 120 banks were closed or received federal assistance in 1985.
