Quality Systems Cites Dip in Sales as Net Drops 11%

Quality Systems Inc. said its net income for its fiscal 1987 first quarter, ended June 30, was $61,000, down 11.2% from $68,700 in the same period last year. Revenues for the period were $2.1 million, down 19.2% from last year’s $2.6 million.

The Tustin supplier of computer processing systems for medical and dental offices blamed the downturn primarily on a decrease in sales of its systems during the period. Nine were sold this quarter, a 35.7% reduction from the 14 sold last year. Quality officials said they don’t believe the drop in sales marks the beginning of a trend.
