Clinic Offers Free Minor-Injury Care

Terrace Plaza Medical Center, 14148 Francisquito Ave., has begun a program to provide free emergency care for minor injuries to unemployed residents who do not have private insurance and do not qualify for Medicare or Medi-Cal.

The program for residents of Baldwin Park, Irwindale, El Monte, Arcadia, West Covina, La Puente and Industry will cover treatment for such minor emergencies as cuts, fractures, burns, sprains and puncture wounds.

A headline in the Aug. 14 San Gabriel Valley section described Terrace Plaza Medical Center in Baldwin Park as a clinic. In fact, it is a 95-bed hospital, according to Rolland Wick, administrator of the hospital.
