Leaf Blowers

Share

I live in a relatively quiet neighborhood. However, each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I am forced to endure the incessant loud screaming of my neighbors’ gardener’s blowing machines.

Apparently there are no ways of muffling them, because the sound is like a small jet aircraft approaching a landing on my roof. My neighbors are either deaf or they may arrange to be gone during these times.

I have read articles in The Times that some communities have outlawed these infernal machines. This, I think, is a good idea, because it would prevent people from becoming deaf from having to listen to this noise pollution so much of the time.
