Marjorie Mowry of Northridge would like to replace a pair of Dr. Scholl’s arch-support sandals that have straps over the toes and around the ankles. The ankle strap is adjustable with metal eyelets, and the toe strap has the word Scholl on a metal plate; both straps are made of heavy, high-quality leather. Can you help without stepping on someone’s toes, or will Mowry, if she is really strapped for a source, be eyeing a suit for nonsupport?

Marilyn Gingrich of Laguna Niguel has joined Susan Johnson of Whittier in a search for a firm that will rent camper shells for an ’81 El Camino pickup truck. But so far, no replies. Does nobody want to have any truck with these ladies, whose hearts are about to brake?

Please take the plunge and help, so that Nancy won’t feel all her efforts have gone down the drain. . . . Martha at (818) 363-1670 needs cups and saucers in Doulton’s Selbourne pattern. The pieces are green and white; border trim and edges are in gold. Please help before Martha--and her saucers--get smashed from being in the cups too long.

Moyna Harris of Anaheim has purchased screw pins not far from Gaede’s home, at Sprouse Reitz on Brookhurst Street and Ball Road, Anaheim. Muriel Anthony found some screw pins at the Cloth World in Fullerton, and Phyllis Lawler was successful at her Cloth World fabric store--in Oxnard. A few years ago, Ruth A. Phillips of Los Angeles bought some of these pins at a F.W. Woolworth store, and Lois Johnson says McVey’s Hardware in Temple City has them also. Four other readers suggested, without listing specific places, that upholstery shops stock these pins.
