Distributor Indicted Over Sex Videotape
A North Carolina video and magazine distributor has been indicted on a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor for selling and distributing a videocassette tape that shows porn star Traci Lords engaging in sexual activity, authorities said.
The indictment is believed to be the first in the country stemming from allegations by the Los Angeles district attorney’s office that Lords was under age when she made most of her films, said W. Michael Mayock, an attorney representing a dozen film producers or distributors, about half of which are involved in adult films.
Phillip Harvey, 51, and his company, Phillip Harvey Enterprises, were indicted Aug. 4 by the Alamance County Grand Jury in Graham, N.C.
