A pickup truck apparently used by a robbery-kidnap suspect to flee from where he was hiding at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory near Pasadena was recovered on a residential street about three miles from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration facility, but the suspect remained at large. Police say Timothy Howze, 36, held up a business in Pasadena on Thursday and then forced a woman to drive him to the laboratory. They say Howze, a janitor at JPL, eluded pursuers and search teams and hid for almost 24 hours on JPL grounds before stealing the truck--emblazoned with the NASA logo--and making his escape. The truck was found abandoned in the 200 block of Del Monte Street in Pasadena.
