More than 200 Haitians headed for the United States in two sailboats were intercepted and taken aboard the Coast Guard cutter Tampa to be returned home, authorities said. The Tampa crew found the two boats 10 miles apart, about 300 miles southeast of Miami. Coast Guard Petty Officer Luis Diaz said that one 40-foot boat contained 102 of the Haitians, and the other, a 65-footer, was carrying 126 of them.
