The Republican national convention site-selection committee began a three-day tour of Los Angeles, which is one of three cities under consideration for the GOP’s 1988 presidential convention. The 21 committee members will visit eight major hotels during their stay and will be guests of honor at two evening receptions. They are also scheduled to take a dinner boat cruise around Marina del Rey. Tuesday morning, they leave for Las Vegas, another potential convention site. A final vote of the entire Republican National Committee is scheduled for its January meeting in Washington.
