‘Sick and Tired’

I’m sick and tired of people who write to your paper saying how sick and tired they are of everything. Whatever happened to letter writers who were just Thoroughly Disgusted or those who, even better, simply Viewed With Alarm?

There’s too much sickness and tiredness in this country already and I, for one, and tea for two, am sick and tired of the number of sick and tired people who are now cluttering up the editorial pages of newspapers, most of which I am sick and tired of, too.

I recognize that some people feel very strongly about certain issues, but perhaps, at least for a brief experimental period, they might try being just sick about an issue and then, if that doesn’t do any good, being tired about it.

I wonder how many of your other readers are sick and tired of all this sickness and tiredness?
