Philadelphia cut veteran running backs Major Everett and Herman Hunter, while Miami cut Bill Barnett, a six-year veteran of the Dolphins’ defensive line. The Dolphins also cut rookie quarterback Jeff Wickersham of LSU.
The New York Jets waived second-year running back Cedric Minter, who came from the Canadian Football League. The Jets also cut free-agent punter John Misko, a former Ram who was trying to win the job from veteran Dave Jennings.
