FT. DIX, N.J. —
A small private plane flying from northern New Jersey to Maryland crashed into an Army artillery range Thursday, killing all three people aboard, officials said.
Rescue crews were flown to the site by helicopter to avoid still-active shells in the Ft. Dix firing range. A bomb disposal crew cleared the area around the wreck.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
