A White House task force on the American family plans to suggest that teen-agers avoid pregnancy by abstaining from premarital sex, according to U.S. News & World Report. The magazine said the task force will not support proposals to set up health clinics in schools to dispense contraceptives. Gary Bauer, undersecretary of education and chairman of the task force, told the magazine: “Our goal should be to tell children (premarital sex) is wrong and explain why it’s bad for them--not to teach them so much about sex that they can engage in it in early adolescence.”
