60 Boats Boarded in Harbor Drug Raid; 1 Suspect Held

NEW YORK —
The Coast Guard, police and federal agents Friday blockaded New York Harbor and systematically boarded every vessel that entered the busy port in a massive hunt for drug smugglers.
By noon Friday, “Operation Glass Eye” had netted only one arrest: a man wanted for drug trafficking and weapons charges.
More than 50 pleasure boats and 10 other vessels, including tugs, and freighters, were boarded.
