Salmonella Poisoning Hits Hard in Poland

WARSAW —
Food poisoning caused by sometimes-fatal salmonella bacteria has struck down thousands of Poles this summer and sanitary inspectors have closed 3,700 canteens and food companies, a Warsaw newspaper reported Friday.
