Has Little Sympathy for Risks of Realtors

Share

Don Campbell’s article (Aug. 17) on realtors’ risks stirred me up again.

I’m less than a speck in the real estate dealings of the national company with which I had the misfortune to get mixed up, but I leaned over backwards to disclose everything about my house-to-sell, even to the ludicrous extent of telling about the dog next door that occasionally barked too much at night if left outside.

The first thing my agent did, among other advantages taken over a naive seller, was stab me in the back by putting a seven-months-old list price on the house and try to push through an underpriced sale to another agent in her office.

From my limited experience, I think brokers deserve all their difficulties.
