Waite and Reed Win at Velodrome
John Waite of Huntington Beach captured the senior men’s sprint competition and Heather Reed of Santa Barbara won the women’s division in action Saturday night at the Encino Velodrome.
Waite defeated Matt Rayner of Sylmar in the men’s main event. Marcelo Arrue of Altadena was third. Reed defeated Tammy Fiola of Bellflower to take first place in the women’s feature.
In another event, Darin Stockton of Santa Barbara won the junior men’s sprint.
