Philippine Ambush Kills 5

MANILA — A police chief and four of his men were killed Sunday in a Communist rebel ambush in the northern Philippines, the official Philippine News Agency said. It said three policemen were also wounded when the patrol was attacked by Communist New People’s Army guerrillas in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte Province.
