Cordata Drops Prices of AT Compatibles by 25%

Share

Thousand Oaks-based Cordata, citing lower costs for parts, reported that it cut the prices of its personal computers by an average of 25%.

Cordata, formerly known as Corona Data Systems, said the basic prices for its IBM AT-compatible machines, known as the ATP and ATD models, now range from $2,095 to $2,895.

The reductions are the second round of price cuts this year for Cordata’s AT-compatible computers, and they come amid stepped-up price competition by makers of so-called IBM clones. Cordata, among the most aggressive price cutters, in April slashed prices for its AT compatibles from 22% to 33%.
