The Air Force on Monday said it had delayed a decision on whether the Boeing Co. should be suspended from receiving new Pentagon contracts because of alleged conflict-of-interest violations.

The service said its Debarment and Suspension Review Board had taken up the case at a meeting Monday “but did not arrive at any conclusions or recommendations.”

Another review of the matter will be conducted at an unspecified later date, the Air Force said.

The Justice Department filed a civil suit against the defense contractor on July 22, charging the company with improperly providing $485,000 in lump-sum severance payments to five employees who quit to work at the Pentagon. Boeing has denied any impropriety.
