Culver City : Turner Firm to Locate in L.A.

Turner Entertainment Co., the firm owned by Atlanta broadcast magnate Ted Turner, will be located in the city of Los Angeles, not in Culver City, according to a letter to the City Council from Roger L. Mayer, a senior vice president of MGM Entertainment Co. who is scheduled to become president.

Turner Entertainment Co., which acquired MGM’s film library but sold its studios to Lorimar-Telepictures Corp., will be located in a building at Venice Boulevard and Clarington Avenue, just outside the city, Mayer reported. His letter came in response to an inquiry about the exact location of the company from Mayor Paul A. Netzel, after earlier reports that the company would locate within the Culver City limits.
