Share

The fourth Bill Shannon Memorial will be held at Cajon Speedway Saturday night. The super, bomber, sportsman and street stocks will race an extra lap, and double points will be awarded to the top finishers of the super stocks.

The extra laps are a tribute to Shannon, the past president of the El Cajon Stock Car Racing Assn. who suffered a fatal heart attack five years ago while returning home from the track.

On Monday, the season’s second factory stock enduro will be run. The enduro features street legal cars going 75 laps clockwise, then 75 laps counterclockwise.
