Do the CBS Program Practices people work directly for the Moral Majority or Jesse Helms (“A Day in the Life of TV,” Aug. 17)?
It’s 1986 and network censors have problems with “Capitol’s” shots of tangled legs and feet, a shot that looks like bondage and how low Meredith’s teddy is cut? Since all of these only generate something in the imagination of the viewer, why do these censors have such problems?
In light of the Meese Commission garbage, we have to counter these narrow-minded rantings of what people can or cannot see when it comes to sex.
People have more brains than the people that censor TV think they have. No wonder fewer and fewer people are watching the programming. A little more realism on the subject of sex could go a long way.
