The Newport, R.I., home of sculptor Felix de Weldon, famous for the Iwo Jima monument at Arlington National Cemetery, was invaded by a burglar in the third break-in at a Newport mansion in six weeks. James H. Hval, 32, of Providence was arrested in the mansion and charged with burglary, police said. He was ordered held pending arraignment Wednesday. The break-in followed the Aug. 2 robbery of $5 million in jewelry from the home of oil heiress Carolyn Skelly, and the July 22 theft of $1 million in cash and jewelry from a family at the Summer Wind estate. A New York City man was charged in that case.
