Carter Hawley Hale Stores, Los Angeles, appointed Stewart M. Kasen chief executive of its Thalhimer Bros. division, a chain of 25 stores in Virginia, Tennessee and North and South Carolina.
Kasen, who will remain as president of the chain, succeeds William B. Thalhimer Jr., who continues as chairman of Thalhimer Bros. and as a director of Carter Hawley Hale.
