A San Diego man surrendered to police Wednesday morning in connection with the Aug. 31 fatal shooting of a man at a Southeast San Diego park, police said. Eldrick Danny Jenkins, 23, was booked on suspicion of murder, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. He is being held without bail at County Jail downtown.

Jenkins is a suspect in the death of Floyd Williams, 27, who died of multiple gunshot wounds during a fight at the Southeast Athletic Area Park in the 1000 block of South 45th Street, Robinson said. Williams was believed to be among a group of men seen fighting with fists and baseball bats at the park shortly before the shooting, Robinson said.
