ON THE TOWN: The big hit on the club scene is Chain Reaction, a raucous band of local funksters who drew an enthusiastic industry crowd last week at the group’s show at the Roxy. Industry heavy-hitters in attendance included Capitol’s Don Zimmerman, Warners’ Lenny Waronker, as well as A&R; execs from CBS and MCA, and several movie industry figures. The band, which was briefly signed to Elektra last year, drew the biggest crowd reaction on such new songs as “Holding On to the Night” and “Come Closer to Me.” . . . And tonight at 8, Raji’s will host a benefit concert called Rock Against Relocation, whose proceeds will go to fund efforts geared to stop the forced relocation of the Navajo-Dineh-Hopi Indians from their Big Mountain Area, Ariz., homeland. Performers will include the New Marines, Silver Tears, the Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada, Walking Wounded and the Sights.
