A British ship has resumed efforts to recover gold bullion from a British cruiser that sank in the Barents Sea north of the Soviet Union during World War II, the Soviet Communist Party daily Pravda said Friday.

A previous recovery operation, made dangerous by unexploded shells on the sunken warship, the Edinburgh, was halted in 1981 when storms prevented further diving.
