Design Firm Wins Award

Archiplan, a Los Angeles-based architectural and urban design firm, has been awarded the “1986 APA Outstanding Specific Planning Project Award” for the design and planning study of Pasadena’s South Lake Avenue shopping area.
The award was presented by the Los Angeles chapter of the American Planning Assn. for a study, commissioned by the city of Pasadena for the South Lake Avenue Business Assn. and South Lake Avenue Parking Place Commission. The report outlined concepts and guidelines for future developments for the 13-block area from Colorado to California boulevards.
