The Region : 4 Killed by Gunfire at Inglewood Bar

Four men were killed and a fifth was seriously hurt as the result of an argument that erupted into gunfire at a bar in Inglewood. Police said they arrived at the Mermaid Tavern, 597 S. La Brea Ave., to find Oscar Lopez, 41, dead in the parking lot, and the bodies of two other men, whose names were not immediately disclosed, inside the bar. Another victim, Mario Luis Luna, 23, was helped from the scene by a friend, but was later taken by paramedics to Brotman Medical Center, where he died of gunshot wounds. Leonardo Sanchez, 36, wounded in the incident, was reported in critical but stable condition at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital.
