Eighteen Scottish soccer fans were prevented from boarding a ferry from England to Ireland when the ship’s crew refused to sail with them.
The fans, supporters of the Glasgow club Celtic, at first refused to leave the terminal in Liverpool, saying they were legitimate supporters who had booked holidays in Ireland to coincide with the match against Shamrock Rovers.
